Jennifer Rice – Vitality, Integrity, Trust
Jennifer is a community engagement practitioner, environmental consultant, and Prince Rupert advocate. She is 37 years old and has been living in Prince Rupert for ten years and is employed with the T.Buck Suzuki Environmental Foundation. Working to protect fish and fish habitat, the Foundation works closely with the commercial fishing industry and is affiliated with the United Fisherman and Allied Workers’ union (UFAWU-CAW).
Jennifer is the current Chair of Friends of Wild Salmon, a coalition of concerned citizens, First Nations, commercial and recreational fisherman from Prince George to Haida Gwaii. The coalition has come together to work towards a common goal: the protection of wild salmon in the Skeena Watershed and north coast.
An SPCA supporter, former board member of Northwest Community College, and Coast Guard Auxillary member, Jennifer is service orientated and enjoys civic activities. She enjoys creative outlets such as the arts having painted banners that don the city’s streets and performing at the Tom Rooney Playhouse. Learn more…
